Welder

ROLE SUMMARY

This position is responsible for repairing, fabricating steel or metallic structures and piping, 
and all welding jobs related to the well intervention, such as wellheads, casing, etc.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring that structural repairs are done in accordance with applicable standards.
• Required logbooks are maintained and updated as per requirements.
• Thorough handovers are provided at each daily change of shift.
• Ensuring that all relevant equipment is maintained, and maintenance is recorded.
• Maintaining sufficient stock of spare parts and materials as required.
• Ensuring compliance with the welding certificate according to SMAW (Shielded Metal 
Arc Welding) welding process and 6GR position as minimum.
• Driving safely, as the leader of the area he is working in, due to the hot work nature of 
the activities.
• Making sure the working area is barricaded and supported by a fire watcher.
• Any other matters as deemed necessary by Company Management

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferably High School Diploma.
• Years of experience: 5 years of experience in oil and gas industry preferably, 3 years’
experience in the drilling industry, in the position.
• Possess ABS or equivalent welder certificate and any other certificate needed to
carry out the job.
