Director – AI Strategy & Portfolio

Our client is creating a central AI Strategy function responsible for ensuring that Artificial Intelligence investments are aligned with business priorities and generate measurable value across multiple operating companies.

Reporting to the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, the Director of AI Strategy & Portfolio will lead the development and execution of the Group’s AI strategy while overseeing the enterprise portfolio of AI initiatives.

The role will work closely with business leaders to identify strategic opportunities, assess business cases, prioritise AI investments, and establish implementation roadmaps across the Group’s diverse sectors.

The Director will be responsible for maintaining the AI project portfolio, measuring business impact, monitoring delivery against strategic objectives, and ensuring resources are allocated to initiatives with the highest potential return on investment.

In addition, the role will establish AI governance frameworks, executive reporting mechanisms, investment evaluation criteria, and portfolio performance dashboards to support executive decision-making.

Candidates should possess extensive experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, enterprise transformation, digital strategy, or AI programme leadership.

Strong analytical capability, financial acumen, portfolio management experience, and the ability to engage senior executives across multiple business sectors are essential.

Experience within diversified organisations, consulting firms, or large enterprise transformation programmes will be highly regarded.
