POSITION: SOFTWARE ENGINEER Fluke Engineering is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our SaaS development team. In this role, you will collaborate with the scrum team and product owner to scope, plan and build features that drive our application forward. Your ability to build beautiful, maintainable, high-quality and high-performing web applications is essential for success in this role. RESPONSIBILITIES * Understand the business requirement, design, develop, implement and maintain the code * Write self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components * Develop code using industry best practices for maintenance of the web applications * Build automated unit and integration tests * Maintain strong coding, compliance, & security standards * Test web applications in multi-platform, cross-browser development. * Optimize front end for maximum performance and scalability * Ability to communicate better and work collaboratively with the team QUALIFICATIONS * A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3-5 years of professional experience in full stack web application development * Hands-on experience in front-end technologies like JS framework (Angular or React or Others), Redux or any other state management libraries, JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, CSS * Strong JavaScript background with emphasis on performance and succinctness * Experience in creating RESTful web services using Node.js * Familiar with writing automated unit testing using frameworks like Mocha, Jest or others. * Good understanding of browser environments and cross-browser compatibility nuance * Good understanding of design and development of responsive web layouts * Good coding, troubleshooting and problem solving skills * Motivated, organized and committed to continuous improvement and learning new tech stack * Experience working in an environment that practices agile development * Experience using Git for code management Fortive Corporation Overview Fortive's essential technology makes the world safer and more productive.
