About the Role

As Director of People and Culture at Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest, you will serve as a member of the Hotel's Planning Committee and Leadership Team, helping shape the strategic direction of one of Europe's most iconic luxury hotels. You will lead the People and Culture function with a focus on cultivating a high-performing, engaged, and values-driven workforce while supporting the achievement of the Hotel's operational and business objectives.
This role extends beyond traditional human resources leadership. As a trusted advisor and culture champion, you will partner with leaders across the Hotel to inspire talent, drive organizational effectiveness, develop future leaders, and foster an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Responsibilities

- →Lead all aspects of the People & Culture function, ensuring alignment with Four Seasons culture, values, and standards.
- →Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to the General Manager and leadership team on people, organizational, and workforce matters.
- →Drive employee engagement, retention, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives across the Hotel.
- →Champion a culture of excellence, inclusion, accountability, and belonging, creating an environment where employees can thrive.
- →Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation, employee relations, and compliance activities.
- →Develop and execute workforce and People & Culture strategies that support operational goals and future business needs.
- →Lead learning, training, and development initiatives that strengthen capabilities and promote internal career growth.
- →Manage the People & Culture budget, ensuring effective use of resources while delivering exceptional employee experiences.
- →Foster employee wellness, recognition, and wellbeing programs that support a highly engaged workforce.
- →Ensure compliance with all employment legislation, company policies, and Four Seasons standards.
- →Build strong partnerships with corporate and regional teams to successfully implement global and regional People & Culture initiatives.
- Proven experience in a senior People & Culture, Human Resources, or Talent leadership role within luxury hospitality, with experience in a Director or senior leadership capacity strongly preferred.
- Experience working in both hospitality and corporate environments, with the ability to translate business strategy into people-focused initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Hungarian labour law, employment practices, and HR compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success in partnering with senior leaders and influencing decision-making across all levels of an organization.
- Proven ability to build high-performing teams, develop future leaders, and drive employee engagement and retention.
- Strong expertise across talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, succession planning, compensation, and organizational effectiveness.
- Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including workforce planning, budgeting, and labor cost management.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
- Experience leading organizational change and supporting business transformation initiatives.
- Passion for cultivating a culture of excellence, inclusion, wellbeing, and belonging.
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Fluency in English and Hungarian is required.
- A genuine commitment to the Four Seasons values and a passion for creating exceptional employee experiences.
