We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Social Catering to lead the strategy, sales, planning, and execution of luxury social events at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, D.C. This leadership role is ideal for a hospitality professional who excels at building meaningful client relationships, driving revenue growth, mentoring high-performing teams, and delivering exceptional celebrations that create lasting memories.

The Director of Social Catering will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the social catering business, including weddings, galas, celebrations, milestone events, nonprofit functions, and other luxury social gatherings. Working closely with hotel leadership and operational teams, this individual will champion innovation, elevate the client experience, and ensure flawless execution while achieving financial objectives.

• →Lead and oversee the Social Catering department, driving revenue growth and market share through strategic sales initiatives and exceptional client service.
• →Serve as the primary contact for high-profile and luxury social events, cultivating strong relationships with clients, event planners, community partners, and industry professionals.
• →Develop and execute annual sales strategies, budgets, and business plans to achieve departmental goals and maximize profitability.
• →Manage the entire social event lifecycle, from prospecting and contracting through planning, execution, and post-event follow-up.
• →Partner closely with Culinary, Banquets, Conference Services, Rooms, and Resort Leadership teams to ensure seamless event execution and extraordinary guest experiences.
• →Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and client preferences to identify new business opportunities and innovative event offerings.
• →Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and proposal development while ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand standards.
• →Forecast revenues, track sales performance, and analyze key metrics to drive informed business decisions.
• →Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing Social Catering team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
• →Represent Four Seasons within the local luxury, wedding, nonprofit, and social event communities to strengthen brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
• →Resolve client concerns professionally and proactively, ensuring exceptional satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
• →Ensure compliance with all company policies, food safety standards, and operational procedures.

• 5+ years of progressive experience in luxury catering, event sales, hospitality, or related fields, including leadership responsibilities.
• Proven success managing high-volume social catering operations and achieving revenue targets within a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong background in weddings, galas, nonprofit events, milestone celebrations, and other upscale social functions.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to build, develop, and inspire high-performing teams.
• Exceptional sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with a client-centric approach.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue management, and profitability analysis.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Delphi, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and other hospitality sales and event management systems preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Passion for luxury hospitality and a commitment to creating unforgettable guest experiences.
