At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the World’s 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking a skilled and reliable Practical Mechanic to join our Engineering team.

As a Practical Mechanic, you will play an important role in maintaining the smooth and safe operation of the hotel’s mechanical systems, equipment and infrastructure. Working closely with the Engineering Management team and collaborating with other hotel departments, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and repairing mechanical systems across guestrooms, public areas and plant rooms, while responding promptly to maintenance requests and supporting the overall operational needs of the hotel. • →To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
• →To attend and contribute to all staff meetings Departmental and Hotel Training as scheduled and other related activities.
• →To undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Engineering / Assistant Engineering Manager.
• →To handle and treat all matters of a confidential nature, oral or written with tact and discretion.
• →Daily check all MEP rooms in the hotel, with physic presence and through BMS and keep records on the condition and operation of the machinery in the plant rooms. Make sure that all mechanical systems are operating properly and constantly. Involve with the maintenance and repairing of all mechanical systems/parts/machinery/infrastructure that are installed in the hotel. Keep all plant rooms clean and safe.
• →The ability to maintain logs for all work performed while on duty within department and those in other departments as they apply to Engineering Repairs.
• →The ability to respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.

• Previous experience in a mechanical maintenance role, preferably within a hotel, resort or other hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment and maintenance practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high operational and safety standards.
• Ability to respond effectively to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
• Good organisational skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records and work logs.
• Professional and courteous approach when interacting with guests, employees and other departments.
• Flexibility to support different Engineering requirements and work across various areas of the hotel.
• Fluency in English will be considered an advantage.
• Applicants must have a European Passport or the legal right to work in Greece.

• Full-time, permanent position.
• Five working days per week.
