Job Function

The Senior IT Security Analyst is responsible for safeguarding enterprise systems, networks, and data across both corporate and manufacturing environments. This role has a strong focus on Splunk administration, security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response, serving as a key contributor to the organization's Security Operations capabilities. The analyst will leverage SIEM technologies, security analytics, and log management practices to proactively identify and respond to cybersecurity threats while supporting compliance and security initiatives across IT and operational technology (OT) environments.

This position partners closely with IT Infrastructure, Operations, OT, and business teams to continuously improve threat visibility, detection capabilities, and overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize the organization's Splunk environment, including data onboarding, parsing, indexing, dashboards, alerting, and reporting.
  • Develop, tune, and maintain Splunk correlation searches, security use cases, alerts, and dashboards to enhance threat detection and operational visibility.
  • Perform daily security monitoring and analysis of network, endpoint, cloud, and system logs through Splunk and other security platforms.
  • Investigate, analyze, and respond to security incidents, including triage, containment, root cause analysis, and remediation activities.
  • Conduct threat hunting activities using Splunk and associated security tools to identify indicators of compromise and emerging threats.
  • Integrate and monitor log sources from Windows, Linux, network devices, cloud platforms, manufacturing systems, and security technologies.
  • Administer and support enterprise security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, identity and access management, and vulnerability management solutions.
  • Support vulnerability assessments, risk identification, and remediation efforts across enterprise systems.
  • Create and maintain operational and executive-level security metrics, reports, and dashboards.
    Assist with audits, compliance initiatives, and security framework alignment, including ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA.
  • Collaborate with IT and OT teams to ensure security controls are incorporated into infrastructure projects, system deployments, and operational changes.
  • Support security assessments of vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Participate in security awareness initiatives and provide guidance on cybersecurity best practices across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, SOC, or information security roles.
  • Experience creating and managing Splunk dashboards, correlation rules, alerts, reports, and searches using SPL.
  • Strong understanding of SIEM concepts, log management, threat detection, and security event analysis.
  • Experience investigating security incidents and performing incident response activities.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint security, identity management, and cloud security concepts.
  • Experience integrating and monitoring logs from diverse security and infrastructure platforms.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements, including ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience administering and securing Linux environments, including log management, troubleshooting, and system hardening.
  • Experience with Linux log sources such as Syslog, auditd, rsyslog, and security monitoring tools.
  • Experience with SOAR, EDR/XDR, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management platforms.
  • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, threat hunting methodologies, and cyber threat intelligence.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or OT environments.
