Fitness Specialist (Franklin, LA)

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting, assisting, and engaging members and guests throughout the facility.
• Maintain an active presence on the fitness floor to promote member safety, exercise adherence, and positive member experiences.
• Assist members with proper equipment use, exercise techniques, and general fitness questions within the scope of practice.
• Support new member orientations, fitness assessments, Wellness Quest appointments, and other fitness services as assigned.
• Monitor fitness areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, safety, and compliance with facility policies.
• Assist with equipment upkeep by identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
• Promote fitness center programs, services, wellness initiatives, and special events.
• Participate in member engagement activities, wellness programs, and facility-wide events.
• Maintain knowledge of current fitness industry standards, exercise guidelines, and facility offerings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Promotion, or related field preferred.
• Nationally recognized fitness certification preferred (ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA, or equivalent).
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
• Knowledge of exercise science principles, equipment operation, and safe exercise techniques.
• Ability to demonstrate proper exercise form and equipment use.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals of varying ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
• Dependable, professional, and team oriented.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and fitness-related software systems preferred.
