Financial Counselor Specialist | Admissions | Full-Time | Joplin

Assumes accountability for assigned new admissions to ensure collectability of accounts including initiating pre-certification and verification of benefits. Acts as a liaison with insurance companies and patients on assigned accounts. Assures that all patients admitted directly or through the health system Level II trauma center are processed accurately.  Responsible for hospital's first impression while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. Ensures collectability of patient accounts through admissions process verifying and/or securing all information needed for the collection process.
