Responsibilities

Oversee all customs clearance processes for imports and exports, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
Coordinate with customs authorities and regulatory bodies to resolve issues and facilitate smooth clearance.
Review and approve customs documentation, including declarations, invoices, and certificates of origin.

Ensure all procedures comply with applicable laws and regulations, including tariff classification, valuation, and origin.
Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and implement process updates.
Identify and mitigate risks such as delays, fines, or penalties.

Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to acquire new customers.
Engage in commercial activities, including proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customs authorities, government agencies, and stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams (sales, logistics, finance) to optimize processes and support business goals.
Manage third-party service providers and negotiate contracts as needed.

Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost savings.
Implement best practices and SOPs to enhance accuracy and speed.
Leverage technology and software solutions to streamline operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in customs brokerage management within International Freight Forwarding and/or Integrated Logistics service providers.
Solid knowledge of Ocean Freight and Ground Freight products.
Very good command of English (spoken and written).
Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project).
