Responsibilities

→Perform a baseline assessment for analyzing the organization’s current practices and identify opportunities for improvement
→Support the development of an environmental sustainability strategic plan to incorporate environmental sustainability into the operations of Care Delivery
→Collaborate with appropriate departments to carry out the approved strategy and prioritized workstreams
→Maintain relationships with external organizations and stakeholders to ensure the operations are current to industry norms
→Identify an appropriate mechanism for establishing a baseline and collecting data to ensure progress on operational aspects of conservation and recycling.
→Establish, set targets for, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify progress on important sustainability metrics
→Develop updates and/or briefings to share with appropriate departments to communicate the organization’s environmental sustainability strategy, initiatives, progress, and achievements. Collect input and apply to planning/improvements.
→Develop procedures for areas including materials and waste, safer chemicals, environmentally preferable purchasing, transportation, etc.
→Develop project/committee and work group structures to support continuous environmental quality improvement

Has a bachelor's degree, preferably an advanced degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Has a minimum of three years of healthcare sustainability experience
