ABOUT FRONTLINE

Frontline is the Venture Capital firm for globally ambitious technology companies on both sides of the Atlantic. The firm has €380m AUM across five active funds and a high-performing team of just under 20 people. We have a growing portfolio of over 100 exceptional companies across Europe and North America, as well as a diverse and expanding global investor base.

We operate two complementary strategies under one roof: Frontline Seed backs European B2B founders at pre-seed and seed stage with clear US expansion plans; Frontline Growth backs US companies at Series B–D stage entering EMEA. Our offices are in Dublin and London, with team members based in New York and Palo Alto.

Our finance team sits in Dublin and is responsible for fund and management company accounting across all vehicles. We’re a small, high-trust team and we work at a high standard.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Fund Finance Manager to join the finance team and own fund-level accounting across Frontline’s fund vehicles — currently spanning four Seed funds, two Growth funds, and several co-investment SPVs, with two funds being incorporated and raised this year. Reporting directly to the COO, this is a senior, high-ownership role: you’ll be the primary person responsible for fund accounting at the firm, working closely with Brian Shortall (Finance Manager, Manco) and with direct exposure to the partners.

This is a meaningful hire for us. The right person will bring real technical depth in fund accounting and be comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in a lean team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Fund Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain fund financial statements and quarterly management accounts across multiple vehicles (LP funds, GP entities, SLP carry vehicles)
  • Manage NAV calculations and updates, partner capital accounts, and waterfall computations
  • Process capital calls and distributions; prepare notices and supporting investor documentation
  • Prepare quarterly and annual LP capital account statements
  • Own year-end audits — acting as primary liaison with external auditors on fund-level work
  • Maintain investment schedules and detailed portfolio data
  • Maintain and update cash flow models for the funds, including deployment tracking, projected capital call timing, and cash availability analysis to support investment decisions

Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain books and records for fund entities in line with Irish GAAP / IFRS requirements
  • Support AIFMD regulatory reporting (Annex IV) and other regulatory filings
  • Assist with tax compliance work in coordination with external advisors

Cross-functional

  • Work with the Head of Legal on fund entity maintenance and transaction close processes
  • Partner with the COO on finance-related projects, including systems improvements and process documentation
  • Provide data and analysis to support LP reporting and fund performance updates

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • 4–6+ years of experience in fund accounting, ideally in a VC, PE, or fund administration context
  • Strong understanding of limited partnership structures, capital accounts, and waterfall mechanics
  • Solid technical accounting skills (Irish GAAP / IFRS); qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audit processes
  • High attention to detail and comfort working across multiple fund entities simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills — you’ll be dealing with partners and LPs, not just spreadsheets

Desirable

  • Experience with Irish AIFMD-regulated fund structures or Irish ILP vehicles
  • Familiarity with VC-specific mechanics: carried interest, management fee offsets, preferred return calculations
  • Experience with fund accounting software
  • Experience using AI tools for data management and analysis and operating efficiency
  • Exposure to multi-currency fund accounting (EUR and USD vehicles)

REMUNERATION

We offer a highly competitive compensation package designed to reward performance, alongside comprehensive benefits and an environment that supports professional growth.

We are committed to a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, and capitalises on the differences between people.
