In this role, you will be supporting the overall mission of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), assigned to the Legal Forfeiture Unit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This position will will be assigned to the Legal Forfeiture Unit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Responsibilities

→Responsible for the management of forfeiture cases for his/her team, conducting research and legal reviews, drafting legal documents, etc.
→Under supervision, assists attorneys with the litigation process.
→Reviews work of paralegals and clerks.
→Prepares all documents related to the litigation process to include drafting motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.
→Screens documents for privilege.
→Responsible for the management of forfeiture cases for his/her team, conducting research and legal reviews, drafting legal documents, etc.
→The ideal candidate will be organized, possess strong writing skills, and communicate effectively with members of the unit and other individuals throughout the FBI.
→Legal writing sample may be requested
→Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Law Degree: or currently a student at an ABA-accredited law school with at least one-year completed
Experience conducting legal research using various research tools and law library resources
Excellent communication skills; oral and written, to include legal writing skills
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other common software applications, to include databases
Ability to work in a team environment, deliver the highest quality of work, and maintain a professional disposition under extreme pressure

This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation.

** NOTE: The 20% pay differential is dependent upon the customer's order for services and requires an Active Top-Secret security clearance.

Target salary range: $72,810 - $83,725 . The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
