Music Teacher (1099 Contract Position)

This position requires instructor to be bilingual (English/Spanish).

For over 117 years, Residing Hope, has provided a place where love, hope and care transformed the lives of children and families in need. In 1908 the Florida Methodist Orphanage was established in Enterprise, Florida. We are now a diverse ministry that includes therapeutic residential care, foster care, independent living assistance, Montessori education for the community, and counseling services in multiple counties.

Music Teacher/Instructor will prepare and implement a teaching plan. The plan will be fundamental to providing knowledge and instruction while also helping students develop their love of music.

• →The Music Teacher/Instructor will work 4-5 hours per week, flexible schedule
• →Provide music instruction (guitar, basic piano, drums, cymbals and/or other percussion instruments) to students between the ages of 12 -17
• →Present lesson in a comprehensive manner
• →Create a positive and engaging learning environment
• →Teach proper technique
• →Proof of Immunizations:
  • →2 doses- Varicella
  • →2 doses- MMR
  • →1 dose- Tdap within the past 10 years
  • →1 dose- Influenza during flu season, (August/September through June)
  • →Yearly requirement of Influenza and TB testing

• Strong music background
• Minimum of 1 year working with youth
• Ability to pass an extensive background screening process
• Ability to read, write and speak proficiently in both English and Spanish, required.

Pay Rate: $30 per hour
