The Technical Manager will directly supervise all entry and mid-level staff to ensure their successful support of the U.S. Navy’s Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program on-base. This position is critical to the success of FWG’s partnership with the U.S. Navy. This position will manage all activities and the staff in an assembly function including a variety of product assembly operations on product components, assemblies and sub-assemblies. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
·        Manage the activities and staff in an assembly function including electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies
·        Follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing and welding/fitting on assembly units
·        Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications
·        Establish and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and dimensions
·        Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
·        Determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup
·        Ability to use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments
·        Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speed
·        Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining
·        Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine material, parts, and equipment required
·        May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
·        Develop and maintain professional, results-oriented relationships that strengthen FWG’s reputation and support positive outcomes through documented communication, timely response, and issue resolution
·        Anticipate customer concerns and engage early to mitigate risk, resolve performance issues, and uphold FWG’s record of quality and reliability
·        Ensure all personnel maintain required certifications, training, and clearance eligibility
·        Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and mission focus across the team
·        Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned
 
Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
·        High School Degree Required
·        Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology, Information Technology or related technical field Required
·        Relevant Military Technical Training Program (ex. Navy Electronics Technician, Marine Corps Communications Technician, etc.) required

Licenses & Certifications:
·        Active Secret Security Clearance

Experience:
·        8+ years of experience in electronics troubleshooting repair and maintenance of complex electronic and IT systems
·        3+ years of experience on naval C4N systems and LCAC platform systems
·        Solid understanding of electronics theory, troubleshooting methodologies and network fundamentals required
·        Proficiency with using multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and other advanced electronic test equipment
·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex electronic and network issues in a timely manner
·        Experience with US Navy Groom procedures and Technical Assists a plus

 Other:
·        Ability to work onsite 5 days per week with additional hours, as required
·        Some travel, as required by operational needs
