Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation: - Operate different types of saws (e.g., band saws, circular saws) to cut materials according to specifications. - Set up saws for production runs, including adjusting speed, feed rates, and blade angles as necessary. - Quality Control: - Monitor the cutting process to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. - Measure and inspect cut materials for accuracy and make adjustments as needed. - Maintenance and Safety: - Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing blades. - Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. - Documentation: - Maintain accurate records of production quantities, materials used, and any issues encountered during operations. - Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly. - Collaboration: - Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure efficient production flow. - Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.

 

Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or manufacturing is a plus. - Previous experience as a saw operator or in a similar role is preferred. - Familiarity with various saw types and cutting techniques. Preferred Skills: - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise specifications. - Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
