About the Role
~1 min readYou will combine strong SQL modeling and statistical skills with your unique experience to deliver actionable insights, make recommendations, and enable others to efficiently access and leverage data in decision making. Maintaining, updating, and optimizing our core business dashboards is central to the role. You will use AI-powered tools and, increasingly, build and maintain AI-driven tooling and automations to accelerate analysis and expand self-service data access across the organization. In addition to leading analytics projects, you will improve our communication of data through dashboards, reports and presentations.
Provide descriptive and diagnostic analysis to inform product and go-to-market decision-making, evaluate performance and make tactical recommendations
Discuss questions and hypotheses with external and internal customers based on deep data analysis, acting as the G2 Data SME, and turn them into analysis and insights
Develop effective data models to enable ease of access and consistency of data across the organization
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements/questions into clean dataset transformations and structured analytics reports
Use AI tools (e.g. Claude/ChatGPT, Looker/Snowflake AI integrations) to accelerate exploratory analysis, QA, and documentation of findings
Use BI tools to empower end users with timely, accurate and informative data and visualizations
Design dashboards to monitor KPIs and business drivers and ensure all metrics are consistent with business strategy
Maintain documentation standards for every report and dashboard (purpose, refresh cadence, KPI definitions, data sources, support contact)
Develop and maintain LookML views and explores in Looker, ensuring consistency and ease of data access across the organization; combined with strong command of Snowflake SQL (Semantic views, joins, CTEs, query performance) to build, validate and reason about the data underneath every view
Build, maintain, and iterate on AI-powered skills, agents, and automations that expand self-service access to data for Sales, Vendor, and Marketing stakeholders
Partner cross-functionally on AI/LLM-enabled reporting initiatives, owning the data and technical build
Evaluate and pilot new AI tools and workflows, and document best practices for the wider analytics team
Lead team discussions and collaborate with technical and non-technical team members to solve business problems
Provide guidance and coaching to jr. team members, helping them understand complex datasets/models/business requirements
Identify opportunities to improve our reporting and additional data management tasks you discover in your analysis
Support and guide project-based work using analytic tools to produce datasets for analysis

4+ years experience in data analysis roles
Experience designing dashboards and enabling self-serve analytics through Business Intelligence tooling (Looker, Amplitude, etc.)
Experience with relational database modeling and/or experience in building reporting layers within Business Intelligence tooling (tabular, multidimensional, etc.)
Adept with Postgres and SQL databases (strong understanding of various use cases of different joins within a relational database and CTE performance scripting)
Experience in performing QA on complex SQL queries for bugs, optimization and performance
Experience working in an agile environment with multiple stakeholder teams
Ability to tell stories with data and convey insights – demonstrated through experience with presentations and cross-functional projects
Experience with A/B testing, product analytics or making data driven decisions
Comfortable using AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) day-to-day to accelerate data analysis, QA, and documentation
Exposure to building or maintaining AI-powered tooling, skills, or automations (e.g. LLM-based agents/scripts that enable self-service data access) is a strong plus
Hands-on experience with Looker (LookML) and Snowflake SQL / SV / syntax, DDL – required to build, maintain, and validate BI models and views
Desire to make an impact on the business, engage in interesting problems, and craft innovative solutions
Experience in User Generated Content (UGC) or in the software industry is preferred
Statistical programming experience with R and/or Python for the purposes of solving holistic/undefined business questions is a plus
Familiarity with web/conversion analytics tooling (e.g. Google Analytics) is a plus
Prior experience building AI agents, prompts, or LLM-powered internal tools is a good to have
