The Opportunity

Gaines Investment Trust is seeking an experienced Assistant Lead Maintenance to join our team at Mission at La Villita in Irving.

This is a hands-on role for a skilled multifamily maintenance professional ready to take on additional responsibility while supporting the Lead Maintenance Supervisor and helping keep the community operating at a high standard.

What You'll Do

Complete HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general repairs
Support daily maintenance operations and team priorities
Complete service requests, apartment turns, and preventative maintenance
Assist with property inspections and maintaining the community pool
Help maintain grounds, common areas, and overall property appearance
Troubleshoot maintenance issues and identify practical solutions
Provide prompt, professional service to residents
Support the Lead Maintenance Supervisor and maintenance team
Participate in the rotational on-call schedule for maintenance emergencies

What We're Looking For

2+ years of multifamily maintenance experience
HVAC certification required
Strong HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and support team priorities
Strong organization, attention to detail, and quality workmanship
Professional communication and customer service skills
Dependable, motivated, and team-oriented
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to participate in the rotational on-call schedule
Residence within a reasonable commute of Mission at La Villita (20–30 minutes preferred)
