Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist performs complex clerical, and accounting assignments and prepares  reports and financial documents.

• High School diploma or equivalent, required.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience, required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Thorough understanding of accounting practices and procedures.
• Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently into computer software and systems.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• →Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, cash receipts posting and accounts receivable adjustments.
• →Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy.
• →Posts journal entries to general ledger.
• →Generates summary sheets and reports as directed.
• →Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures.
• →Assist with various accounting projects as needed.
• →Performs other related duties as assigned.
