Job Description:

Join GDIT as a Journeyman Electrician supporting our Base Infrastructure Modernization program.

Survey, install, maintain, and test electrical systems and components, including conduit, wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, ground systems and other electrical equipment.
Communicate with Site and Team Leads maximizing production.
Perform maintenance and repair of existing electrical systems.
Support contract and in-house crews as needed.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and recommend solutions.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Local and National Electrical Codes and regulations.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
Conduct resistance testing and documentation of existing ground systems.
Conduct power panel load testing and document results.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
Prepare and submit daily work reports detailing completions, materials and delays.
Accurate tracking of used and needed material supporting site needs.

→Work may be indoors or outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions.
→Requires 80% to 100% travel to various Air Force Bases for testing and installation support.
→May require lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
→Position requires travel CONUS and OCONUS.
→Ability to work alone and in a team environment (as a lead).
→Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
