- Provide technical input and guidance to the customer in the planning, configuring and implementation of mobile and fixed communications platforms, with emphasis on safety, reliability, supportability, and long-term sustainment.
- Deliver system administration, operational support, troubleshooting, and end-user assistance for land mobile radio (LMR), satellite communications (SATCOM), cellular-based routing solutions, and Windows-based terminals in tactical and field environments.
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repair on SATCOM systems, multi-band radio platforms, IP-based voice endpoints, computing devices, and core data network equipment (servers, KVMs, routers, switches, distribution panels) to maintain system availability and mission readiness.
- Manage inventory records and life-cycle maintenance schedules for communications and IT equipment, supporting accurate asset visibility, planned refresh, and ongoing sustainment of operational systems.
- Support logistics activities related to the acquisition, storage, relocation, and deployment of communications equipment to ensure timely access to resources required to sustain and expand mission communications capabilities.
- Handle communications security (COMSEC) keying material in accordance with applicable DoD and unit COMSEC policies and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of secure communications.
- Provide recommendations on replacements, upgrades, and enhancements to existing communications capabilities to ensure systems remain modern, resilient, and supportable over time.
- Create and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures, recurring tasks, and system updates, enabling consistent operations and efficient troubleshooting across the supported organization.
- Develop and deliver training for unit personnel on the proper operation and routine maintenance of secure mobile communications platforms, supporting long-term sustainment of deployed systems.
Qualifications:
- Available for travel within the continental United States for periods of time up to two weeks in support of mission activities.
- Possesses an active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance and possesses eligibility requirements to access classified information.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to articulate complex mission information to members of U.S. Government’s leadership.
- Be capable of establishing and cultivating friendly relationships with partner agency personnel, third party equipment providers, and sibling programs.
- Must be self-sufficient and capable of maintaining required operational tempo when working autonomously or with minimal supervision.
- Work location will be in Washington, D.C. and offices in the DMV area. Work hours are flexible, but contract staff must meet minimal requirements on a weekly basis. CONUS travel is at the request of the customer and may not be flexible under some circumstances.
- Education: BS/BA or Equivalent experience
- Required Experience: 3+ Years’ related experience
- Required Technical Skills: CompTIA Security+ (or DoDD 8140 IAT II Compliance)
- Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
- Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills
