The Sr. Healthcare Data Analyst will be a collaborative part of our team to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) mission to detect and prevent fraud, waste, or abuse across the Medicaid program through advanced analytics and data visualization solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data analysis, interpretation, and reporting duties. Develops rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis.
- Conduct research of vulnerabilities and high-risk areas within the Medicaid program integrating policy understanding and in-depth claims analysis.
- Present analytic findings through written, verbal, and visualization techniques to communicate complex studies and recommended actions in a way that is easy to understand for a wide range of audiences.
- Use critical thinking and exploratory research to understand program rules and how data can provide insights to inform decision making.
- Utilize analytic skills including ability to efficiently work with large datasets to uncover patterns and trends that are meaningful to program oversight and action.
- Proactively and effectively collaborates with leadership and team members to identify solutions to complex challenges.
