You will engage directly with VA leadership and service line managers to communicate storage performance expectations, deliver reviews and briefings, and recommend improvements. Your communication practices will enhance transparency, alignment, and confidence in storage service delivery.

You will drive continuous improvement by identifying gaps, optimizing replication and backup processes, modernizing documentation, strengthening controls, and advancing automation across storage operations. Your leadership ensures VA’s storage environment remains reliable, secure, resilient, scalable, and continuously improving.

• Experience supporting VA, federal agencies, or regulated environments
• Storage‑related certifications (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Commvault, or similar), ITILv4, Six Sigma, or equivalent
• Familiarity with federal security requirements, data protection policies, VA Handbook 6500, NIST 800‑53, and DR/BCP frameworks
• Experience with enterprise storage performance analytics, compliance audits, and monitoring tools

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5 years of experience
• Experience leading storage operations, data protection, backup/recovery workflows, or infrastructure compliance in enterprise IT environments
• Demonstrated expertise with enterprise storage platforms, SAN/NAS infrastructure, data protection systems, and disaster recovery processes
• Strong understanding of ITSM, service delivery, hosting operations, and enterprise‑class process governance
• Ability to evaluate storage documentation, workflows, performance metrics, and system outputs for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
• Experience developing performance plans, audit artifacts, dashboards, and corrective‑action processes
• Excellent written, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills
• Ability to collaborate across storage engineering, hosting, cybersecurity, and federal organizations

The likely salary range for this position is $123,250 - $166,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
