Head, Strategic & Banca Support (GETB)

This role is responsible for identifying and developing key bancatakaful business strategies jointly with bank partners, business leaders, and key stakeholders while elevating bancatakaful value to new heights. Assisting the Head of Partnership Distribution with business strategic insights supported with data driven trends, predictive modelling and market insights to capture key business opportunity while enhancing key operating efficiency. Providing leadership to Bancatakaful Support team ensuring the best-in-class services to our clients and partners, while establishing robust distribution governance, and execution of enterprise-wide bancatakaful strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing Bancatakaful long term strategic growth initiatives, digital and data-driven alternate distribution channels and innovative sales enablers. 
• Oversee and lead the delivery and development of new Bancatakaful product, platform, operating model, leads, and proposition management to realizing and innovate new distribution models. 
• Engage and provide operational excellence and bring the desired results and engage with Bank Partners on key matters to ensure continuity of deliverables.
• Drive key analytics of customer proposition, emerging trends, intermediary performance and market trends to identify opportunity and drive growth.
• Prepare and align jointly with Bank Partners on agreed business plan. 
• Responsible for Bancatakaful Operational Support, Reporting, Finance and Act as Bancatakaful regulation gatekeeper and compliance liaison person with internal and Bank stakeholders.
• Lead daily operational functions to uphold service quality, process integrity, and adherence to regulatory, Shariah, and internal control standards.
• Drive continuous operational and system improvements by resolving control gaps, managing risk, and ensuring audit-aligned execution.
• Work with key stakeholders to proactively shape the organisation’s culture and conduct environment that is aligned to the organization’s Core Values.
• Champion culture and conduct behavioral expectations within the Department/Division.
• Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies to understand the risk and safeguard the company better.
• Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
   

Qualification and Key Knowledge

• Strong exposure to bancatakaful collaboration, integration, operational support, strategy, bancassurance product and reporting. 

• Experience in conceptualizing, managing and successfully implementing Operations strategies from start to finish.

• Insurance law & related regulation.

• BNM regulatory policies and Act.

• Policy terms & conditions.

• Product knowledge & features.

• Cross functional knowledge.

• Quality assurance best practices.

• Prior experience in Takaful is an added advantage.

Working experience, skillsets and or knowledge

• Minimum 15 years of working experience with 10 years in Bank/ Insurance/ Fintech operations.
