Marine Cargo Underwriter

Job Summary:

To assist in the daily Marine Cargo and Hull Underwriting operations. However, Cargo would the priority. To perform quaterlyportfolio analysis and conclude the next course

of action is necessary

Job Description:

1) To underwrite all marine classes within authority limit

2) To issue all marine policies and endorsements including policies from branches

3) To analyse marine results via monthly reporting’s

4) To assist in reviewing “exception reports" to ensure branches follow the company's underwriting guidelines

5) To provide customer and branch response in relation to Marine Underwriting guidelines

6) To review Renewals with claims experience

7) To train staff and agents on different classes of liability e.g. Marine Cargo, Hull & Goods-in-Transit.

8) To assist the other Underwriting Units whenever required

9) To assist the Head of Department (HOD) in carrying out ad-hoc projects

10) To adhere to AMLA provisions and all other applicable policies and compliance matters concerning GEGM and the Great Eastern Group and be vigilant to uphold these in the discharge of duties

Min 7 to 10 years in underwriting in Liability Classes
