Business Manager - Production - Lockport

As the Business Manager - Production, you will provide leadership for Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). You will be responsible for providing direction and assistance to the team.

• →Champion of allocated BPD activities
• →Plan daily/weekly production plan
• →Make adjustments to the schedule as needed as a result of production problems
• →Allocate manpower as needed
• →Maintain shift safety by audits, observation and follow up of all incidents
• →Discuss major downtime causes with maintenance daily and request corrective action
• →Report shift status to area manager
• →Coach and mentor group leaders and improve their general performance
• →Ensure GM-GMS is followed
• →Liaise with quality team to address any quality problems and co-ordinate countermeasures
• →Support area manager to resolve manpower issues in conjunction with union
• →Must be willing to work weekends and overtime based on business needs
• →Understand and comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements

• 3 years of manufacturing experience
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed by the business
  

• Leadership experience
• Highly developed oral & written communication skills
• High level of interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of radiators, condensers and primary parts areas
• High level of analytical ability
• Knowledge of and coaching experiences in Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS)
• Demonstrated technical
