Senior Backend Software Engineer - Commercial Software

• →Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable and performant services and systems 

• →Build and launch new capabilities and products that bring significant value to customers internal and external 

• →Uphold our high engineering standards. Elevate quality and engineering efficiency within our codebases.  

• →Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization including product, design, and other engineering functions. 

• →Mentor engineers earlier in their technical career to help them grow. 

• →Explore new technologies and enrich our technological stack. 

• →Actively participate in technical discussions and deep dives with architectural group.

• 5+ years of hands-on backend software development 

• Experience in building production-quality, highly performant and scalable distributed systems and Service-Oriented architecture 

• Experience in one of the JVM languages Java / Scala / Kotlin + SpringBoot.  

• Experience in writing high quality production code that is tested thoroughly, supported by clear documentation and has appropriate production observability 

• Strong CS fundamentals, including OO concepts, data structures, algorithms, and systems architecture 

• Solid understanding and experience with NoSQL and relational DB 

• Empathy with users internal and external, and a strong customer focus 

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. 

• Strong product focus and acumen. 

• Experience working independently and drive features or components throughout the development lifecycle 

• Experience with at least one of the public cloud providers Azure, AWS, GCP  

• Experience with IoT stack is a big plus  

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science/Engineering preferred
