Associate Merchandiser

• Build assortment plans with Merchandise Manager to insure optimum breadth and depth.
• Determine optimal SKU quantities based on sales analysis, store selling, and store capacities.
• Use historical data and reports to determine merchandise allocation plan to maximize sales.
• Write purchase orders and develop monthly flows for product buys.
• Manage and communicate buy plans and forecast production projections with Sourcing Team.
• Determine size scales for orders and adjust seasonally. 
• Produce and Analyze Weekly Sales reports.
• Analyze merchandise sell-thru’s and recommend action plans.
• Determine, set, and adjust appropriate replenishment models for merchandise (determine quantities and size breakdown) based on current sales trends, store performance, and inventory data. Consolidate & transfer merchandise between stores to maximize sell-thru’s.
• Effectively communicate with store associates, responding to product needs and inquiries.
• Help coordinate and present Merchandising information for Quarterly and Yearly sales meetings.
• Limited Travel to Stores   
• Perform data entry related to business needs

• 2-5 years merchandising and buying experience
• Retail store management experience a plus
• Ability to analyze multi-points of data to recommend action plan to drive business.
• Strong Decision-making skills  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• College Degree in Retail or Business related field
• Fundamental math skills to calculate margins, sales, percent sell-thru’s, and markdown
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Excel is necessary
• Knowledge of Merchandising systems including Jesta and Planning Analytics (PAX) preferred
• Strong analytical and organization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong math aptitude
• Strong prioritization and time management skills
