Lead Extrusion Operator 6:55PM to 7AM

                                                                           EXTRUSION OPERATOR LEAD

Ability to operate any of the Extruders and repel lines generally unassisted. Able to communicate quality issues, complete required documentation, e. I profile and daily material reports.  Report machine malfunctions and ensure high-quality sheets.  Performs work under Shift Supervisor with final approval by the Extrusion Manager/ Assistant Production Manager.  Be committed to SQF, GMP and Food Safety.

• →Must be able to run all machines in the department.
• →Assist in scheduling department overtime.
• →Assist in relieving breaks for operators.
• →Input 2-hour production totals in an Excel spreadsheet.
• →Oversee grinding room to ensure that it is clean and rolls are ground.
• →Assist with cutter report.
• →Ensure pelletizers are running at all times.
• →Monitor silo pads and vacuum pad for cleanliness.
• →Ensure that all hoses are connected to the correct silos during changeovers.
• →Monitor all operators' checklists.
• →Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
• →Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including all Safety Regulations.

1. Stationary standing: 100% of the shift.
2. Walking: 60% of the shift.

3.Touching/Handling Product: 100% of the shift.

1. Sitting: 5% of the shift.
2. Using Controls/Tools: 10% of the shift.

6.Reaching-(Hand & Arm): 75% of the shift.

7.Shifting/Twisting/Rotating core: 100% of the shift.

1. Climb or Balance: 5% of the shift.
2. Stoop, Kneel, Crouch or Crawl: 10% of the shift.
3. Talk or hear: 100% of the shift.
4. Smell: 5% of the shift.
5. Ability to lift 25 pounds/Max.
6. Ability to move foam rolls: 450 pounds.
7. Employees may wear corrective lenses (with protective safety over glasses) PPE or use our Safety Prescription Program (Ask your HR Representative).
8. Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus 

The Extrusion Operator will be responsible for individual compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and policy procedures.  Employee’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Compliance with all facility rules and regulations.

1. Report any unsafe practices and/or conditions to their supervisor.
2. Maintain floor safety discipline by interceding with fellow employees who may engage in rule violations and/or unsafe, unhealthy activities.
3. Communicate to Management those employees who persist in violations of safety rules and/or procedures.
4. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)/properly and report any defective PPE.
5. Report all near misses, accidents, injuries, including Musculoskeletal symptoms or disorders.

Employees will be working in a Manufacturing and/or Warehouse environment in all types of weather.

Conditions may range from and include hot, cold, humid, loud, working near airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and forklift traffic.

Minimum of one (1) year manufacturing experience; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience. Need to have good math, reading, and writing skills.
