You will join a distributed team building and modernizing backend platforms with Java, Spring Boot and microservices. Communication with the client is in English.

We're looking for a hands-on backend engineer who delivers production features end to end in a Java microservices environment.

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain backend services with Java and Spring Boot
Develop REST APIs and event-driven integrations with Kafka
Write clean, tested code and take part in code reviews
Work with architects and product owners to break down requirements and estimate work
Support production issues and improve performance and reliability

Must haves

6+ years of professional backend development with Java (Java 11+; strong in Java 8+ features such as streams and lambdas)
Solid Core Java: OOP, design patterns, collections, multithreading and concurrency
Production experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture
REST API design and integration
Relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle or similar)
Event streaming or messaging with Kafka or similar
Git, CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins) and Docker
Unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito)
Fluent English for daily work with the client
Based in Spain or Poland with the right to work there
