Assemble, maintain, diagnose, repair, calibrate and modify as assigned, mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic, micro-electronics, optical, magnetic, nuclear measurement, radiography, counting, monitoring and ultrasonic equipment. May work with prototype equipment, production equipment, nuclear instrumentation, test equipment and associated controls and instrumentation. Must be familiar with a wide variety of automated systems used in manufacturing or reactor service field equipment, quality assurance, and nuclear measurements/safety. Must be proficient in diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems in these areas along with utilizing complex test equipment to resolve component failure, program errors, calibration, or operator error. May be required to have knowledge of panel assembly and wiring, cable construction, soldering and de-soldering techniques. Will be required, on occasion, to assist quality assurance, manufacturing, field engineering, services engineering and other subsections in resolving problems. Will be required to work on machine position/motion control systems. Will also be required to generate various forms of analysis and documentation utilizing Microsoft Windows Suite of Office products (Excel, Word, and Power Point).

    Highschool Diploma (GED) with five (5) years of experience in maintenance or fabrication of related industrial equipment. Training, education and experience should include electronic, electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, optical, ultrasonic, nuclear measurement, radiography and computer disciplines.

    Technical school associate degree in electronics, instrumentation, or micro-electronic solid-state technology; or equivalent military, industrial, or college training with three (3) years of relevant experience.

    Minimum of two (2) years of experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical control equipment.

  • →

    Minimum of two (2) years of experience reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, ladder logic, instruction manuals and logic symbol schematics. Must be able to logically troubleshoot control systems to identify software and hardware problems.

    Minimum of two (2) years of experience and working knowledge of state-of-the-art test equipment; such as multimeters, digital oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, calibrators, digital analyzers, microprocessor development systems, multi-channel analyzers, etc.

    Minimum of two (2) years of experience with basic hand tools, soldering equipment, electrical and electronics test equipment.

    Minimum of two (2) years of experience with microprocessor software structure and commands.

  • Ability to take the lead in troubleshooting and perform corrective action.

  • Ability to read and understand written documents and procedures such as P&Ps, EOPs, and ESIs.

  • Willingness to work a other shifts as needed to support the business High level of concentration, attention to detail and analytical ability is required to develop and troubleshoot complicated mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic and microprocessor-based equipment.

  • Ability to document work in order to help enhance skills of lower rate personnel.

Training Requirements: Please note that this position requires a comprehensive onboarding and training period of approximately 6 Months. During this time, the successful candidate must be available to work exclusively on the day shift, regardless of the ultimate shift assignment for the permanent role.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the base pay for this position is $44.68/hour. After 6 months of satisfactory performance the pay will increase to $45.36/hour. OT is paid after 8 hours.

While working the off-shift, you will receive an additional night-shift adder of $1, this transitions to 10% after 5 years of service.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. ​
