About the Role

The Lead Technical Tendering Engineer will oversee the end-to-end Inquiry to Order (ITO) process, transforming complex technical and commercial requirements into competitive, high-value solutions for our customers.

You will act as a bridge between our customers' needs and our internal engineering and operational capabilities. By managing the full tendering life cycle, you will ensure our proposals are technically robust, commercially sound, and aligned with our global standards, playing a vital role in securing the projects that modernize the world’s energy infrastructure.

  • Leading the end-to-end tendering process, from initial specification review to the final submission of high-impact technical and commercial proposals.
  • Creating detailed solution architectures, technical descriptions, and compliance documentation that clearly articulate the value of our offerings.
  • Collaborating across cross-functional teams, including Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, and Sales, to ensure proposals are accurate, cost-effective, and operationally viable.
  • Developing competitive commercial strategies by reviewing Terms & Conditions and aligning them with our internal standards and risk profiles.
  • Improving our project win-rate by providing expert technical support during customer presentations and bid clarifications.
  • Building a seamless transition from the tendering phase to execution by managing handover procedures and ensuring all project requirements are captured post-award.

You should be a technical professional with a passion for customer-focused engineering, possessing:

  • The ability to translate complex electrical and substation control systems into clear, winning technical proposals.
  • The capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of electricity transmission, distribution, and industrial markets and experience on protection relay and substation automation.
  • An expertise in navigating multicultural business environments and building strong, lasting customer relationships.
  • A keen interest in driving technical innovation and operational excellence.
  • Fluency in Italian and English. Any additional language will be a plus (e.g. Spanish, French, Romanian or Portuguese).

A formal education or degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or a related field is essential, but we are most interested in your total experience and your ability to deliver professional results in a technical tendering environment.
