Business Group Leader – New Zealand / Pacific, Business Advisory

GHD Advisory are invested in creating sustainable commercial outcomes with clients driving change in water, energy and urbanisation.  

Reporting to the APAC Business Advisory Leader, you will lead our Commercial, Asset Optimsation & Performance, Supply Chain & Logistics, Engagement & Communication, Risk & Assurance, and Sustainability New Zealand Pacific Business Advisory team. Pivotal to this will be to drive growth and development to support our client needs, with a focus on enhancing these service offerings and integrated solutions across the region. 

This position offers a variety of work and will see you: 
 

• Lead the NZ Business Advisory team to deliver business results in accordance with the agreed targets. 

• Work closely with Project Managers and Project Directors to deliver superior client service and financial performance that meets GHD's expectations and manage GHD's risks.

• Champion and lead collaboration with Advisory BGLs and colleagues throughout the region and wider enterprise to effectively plan and resource projects and pursuits and deliver best in class solutions for our clients. 

• Coach and mentor the Business Group team including performance coaching.

• Support and coach Team Leaders enabling them to engage and develop their teams to drive a high-performance culture.

• Support the safety and well-being of GHD's people and visitors within the Business Group. 

• Contribute to GHD's brand in the in the region through collaboration with Marketing. 

• Work with Technical Service Leaders, develops short and long-term capability, informing the acquisition of skills to support future growth.

• Work closely with the Regional Market Leaders and Sector Leaders to support the development and execution of market strategies and client pursuit plans.

What you will bring to the team: 
 

• Proven track record in a business group or team leader role and business consulting.

• Strong leadership, people, and stakeholder management skills with experience leading virtual teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

• Effective and proven business development, networking and client relationship management skills.

• Ability to think strategically across market sectors while also managing day-to-day operations.

• Experience in leveraging technology and innovation to drive growth.

• Well-developed relational skills and strong personal/professional network

This role can be based in our Auckland or Wellington office.
