Who are we looking for?   

We’re looking for a Civil Design Intern to join our Design & Delivery Organization! (DDO) In this role you will work with fellow drafters and designers in preparing simple work plans and construction documents for civil municipal and industrial infrastructure projects. Projects may include topographic survey, sewer, water, industrial products, and drainage pipelines, among others.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: 

• Performing design and drafting work on a broad range of federal, municipal, and industrial projects
• Performing tasks and technical decisions conducted under close supervision
• Preparing simple plans, designs, etc.
• Preparing initial draft of routine correspondence, standardized documents, simple work plans, and construction documents for internal review

What you will bring to the team:

• Actively Pursuing an associate degree in Drafting/Design, Civil Engineering Technology or similar field preferred but relevant experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Civil 3D preferred, but not required
• Experience with ArcGIS is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks and maintain flexible approach to meet challenging deadlines
• Self-starter, flexible team player, willing and able to work on a variety of tasks
