We are seeking a Senior Environmental Regulatory Manager – Upstream to lead regulatory strategy and client advisory support for complex  environmental remediation and reclamation projects.

This role will play a key part in shaping regulatory engagement, managing risk, and supporting long-term site closure and reclamation strategies. The position offers a blend of technical leadership, client-facing work, and contribution to business growth.

• →Serve as a regulatory lead for environmental remediation and reclamation projects at upstream oil and gas sites 
• →Advise clients on permitting, compliance strategy, and regulatory risk 
• →Lead regulatory reviews, audits, corrective action programs, and closure planning 
• →Interface directly with regulatory agencies at the county, state, and federal level 
• →Monitor regulatory trends and support proactive client strategy 
• →Support proposals, client development, and strategic growth initiatives 
• →Mentor and support development of technical staff

• →Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field
• →12+ years of regulatory experience related to legacy or active mine sites
• →Experience supporting remediation, reclamation, and enforcement negotiations
• →Strong understanding of permitting, compliance, and regulatory strategy
• →Excellent technical writing and executive communication skills
• →Willingness to travel

• State-level environmental regulations (California experience preferred)
• Federal regulatory frameworks such as CERCLA, RCRA, and Clean Water Act
• Pipeline and/or oil well-related permitting and reclamation
• Coordination with agencies such as CalGEM, EPA, SWRCB, RWQCB, BLM, or comparable regulatory bodies
