- Acting as Project Director, Design Manager and/or Owner’s Engineer across projects from development and pre-FID through to detailed design, construction and execution.
- Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, including allocating responsibilities, setting priorities and ensuring project milestones, quality requirements and client expectations are met.
- Building trusted relationships with utilities, developers, energy agencies and delivery partners to understand emerging needs and position GHD to support their investment programs.
- Identifying and developing new opportunities, leading proposals and bringing together the right capabilities from across GHD to shape and secure work.
- Establishing effective design management standards, systems and processes within a commercial construction environment, including managing client and contractor interfaces.
What you will bring to the team:
- Well-developed client engagement and business development capability, with experience identifying opportunities, leading proposals and converting relationships into successfully delivered work.
- Relevant power and renewable energy experience, ideally including transmission infrastructure, wind generation and battery energy storage systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, coupled with 15+ years’ of experience, ideally in an engineering consultancy, construction or utility environment
- CPEng and RPEV or equivalent professional registration, or the ability to obtain RPEV
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, multidisciplinary energy projects at Project Director or senior Design Manager level.
- Experience as a senior technical manager ideally in both the roles of:
- Owner’s Engineer experience across both pre and post-FID stages of major energy projects.
- Design management within a Design & Construction environment, including oversight of technical interfaces, design risk, quality and constructability.
