We’re looking for a skilled Flood Modeller with a strong working knowledge of TUFLOW and Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR) and a passion for water resources to join our NSW/ACT team in Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle, Wollongong or any of our regional NSW offices.

You will work on some of Australia's most significant floodplain, catchment and infrastructure projects, helping clients make informed decisions that improve resilience and create lasting community benefit.

  • Developing and applying TUFLOW hydraulic models and undertaking hydrologic and hydraulic assessments in accordance with Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR) methodologies.
  • Delivering flood studies, floodplain risk management studies and development impact assessments across major water, transport, mining, defence and urban development projects.
  • Delivering on multidisciplinary projects and tasks, maintaining strong client relationships and coordinating with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Collaborating across water resources, civil engineering, environmental services and planning, while conducting technical reviews and mentoring junior team members.
  • Contributing to business development by identifying opportunities and preparing proposals to secure new projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • →Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or a related discipline.
  • →Between 5 & 12 years of experience in a similar role in a consulting environment.
  • →Significant experience in flood modelling, hydrology or water resources consulting.
  • →Strong capability in TUFLOW, including model development, calibration and interpretation of results.
  • →Sound understanding and practical application of Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR).
  • →Experience delivering flood studies, flood impact assessments and floodplain management projects.
  • →Strong client relationship skills and project management skills in water resources projects
