Our client is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join its Corporate Accounting team. Prepare and record journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting analyses to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances.
Review, maintain, and administer lease agreements in accordance with ASC 842.
Assist with lease accounting activities, including lease modifications, renewals, and related accounting entries.
Review landlord invoices, CAM reconciliations, and resolve landlord/tenant billing discrepancies.
Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure expenses are properly coded and reconciled.
Support month-end and year-end close activities.
Participate in financial reporting, audit support, and SOX compliance activities.
Analyze accounting processes and identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and other internal stakeholders.
Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and special analyses as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP.
Experience with lease accounting (ASC 842) preferred.
Experience reviewing lease agreements, lease administration, or property accounting is highly desirable.
Experience with CAM reconciliations, landlord invoices, or tenant billing is a plus.
Strong general ledger, journal entry, and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.).
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
CPA or public accounting experience is a plus but not required.
Lease accounting software experience.
Property accounting or multi-location business experience.
Experience supporting acquisitions or rapidly growing organizations.
ERP system experience (Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus).
Hybrid work schedule (Monday–Thursday onsite, Friday remote)
