Position Title: Supply Chain Lead Functional Area: Asset Quality Inspector (Field Technician) Reports To: Operations Lead. Location: Lagos Position Summary As Asset Quality Inspector (Field Technician) you will be responsible for physically inspecting new, refurbished, and repaired vehicles to ensure they meet company standards before deployment or redeployment. This role serves as the final checkpoint to confirm asset readiness, mechanical soundness, and overall quality before assets are handed over for operations. Roles and Responsibilities New Vehicle Inspection · Inspect newly delivered vehicles from vendors/OEMs. · Check engine performance, electricals, body condition, tyres, brakes, and suspension. · Identify defects or damages before acceptance. · Confirm vehicles meet company quality standards before sign-off. Refurbishment and Repair Validation · Inspect repaired and refurbished vehicles before release. · Confirm that all assigned repairs were properly completed. · Test ride vehicles where necessary. · Ensure replacement parts are properly installed and functional. · Flag poor workmanship immediately. Deployment Readiness Check · Confirm asset is mechanically sound. · Ensure tracker installation is complete and functioning. · Verify documentation and basic accessories are complete. · Sign off on assets before they are deployed to riders. Reporting & Escalation · Maintain inspection records for all assets reviewed. · Report recurring technical issues. · Escalate substandard repair work to Operations and Supply Chain. · Track rejected assets and follow up on rework completion. Requirements Requirements · 3+ years hands-on experience working on motorcycles/tricycles. · Strong understanding of engine systems and vehicle components. · Ability to test ride and diagnose basic faults. · High attention to detail and accountability. · Must be comfortable working in workshop and field environments.
