Join GLAS – A Leading Global Debt Services Provider

GLAS is a fast-growing, international provider of institutional debt administration services, working with some of the world’s most sophisticated investors and financial institutions.

With over $700bn of assets under administration and a global footprint spanning Europe, the US, APAC, and the Middle East, we partner with blue-chip clients including Apollo, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, and Deutsche Bank.

Our mission is simple: to be the leading independent, conflict-free provider of debt administration services, delivering best-in-class solutions to our clients across the full transaction lifecycle.

The Opportunity

We are expanding our Frankfurt office and are looking for a Transaction Manager (Loans) to join our high-performing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work at the heart of complex credit transactions — gaining exposure to syndicated loans, restructurings, and high-profile cross-border deals.

You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of transactions, acting as the key point of contact for lenders, borrowers, and advisors, while working closely with our London headquarters.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Transaction Manager, you will play a central role across the full lifecycle of loan transactions:

Deal Execution & Closing

  • Lead and coordinate transaction closings with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Review and negotiate key documentation (credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, security documents) alongside legal counsel
  • Manage transaction funding mechanics and cash flows

Portfolio & Lifecycle Management

  • Act as primary contact for borrowers, lenders, and advisors
  • Oversee utilisation requests and ongoing transaction activity
  • Monitor covenants, margin ratchets, and key credit events

Complex Transaction Events

  • Manage amendments, waivers, and consent processes
  • Support refinancings, restructurings, prolongations, and exits
  • Navigate more complex scenarios including distressed situations and insolvencies

Market & Relationship Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with banks, sponsors, funds, and law firms
  • Stay up to date on market trends and regulatory developments

Key Requirements

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys taking ownership.

  • Experience in loan agency, debt administration, banking, or structured finance
  • Strong understanding of loan documentation and transaction processes
  • Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to capital markets or bond transactions
  • Experience with leveraged finance or restructuring scenarios

Why Join GLAS?

  •  Work on high-profile, complex transactions across global markets
  •  Partner with top-tier clients including leading PE firms and investment banks
  •  Gain exposure to both performing and stressed/distressed situations
  •  Be part of a growing, entrepreneurial business with real career progression
  •  Collaborative international culture with strong connectivity to London HQ

Benefits

  • Salary + bonus
  • Hybrid working
  • Long service award
  • Career development and study support
  • Good holiday entitlement

It’s our people who make GLAS successful and we strive to recruit and retain the best people and operate in an environment underpinned by inclusivity, diversity, and opportunity. We recognise that a more inclusive workplace allows ideas and a variety of points of view to trigger discussions or deliver innovative results.

Besides, we want people at GLAS to be successful - we are committed in your career development. We truly believe in and live by our values of stepping in, stepping up and standing out.

In addition to our commitment to a diverse workforce we are also happy to talk about flexible working to support
