Machine Operator - Novelty Yarn Plant

Glen Raven is recruiting for a Machine Operator for our Novelty Yarn Plant which is a multi-functional position that offers a variety of activities and duties throughout the workday.  Experience in manufacturing chenille yarn is a plus. 

• →Responsible for operating narrow warper, including creeling and loading and stripping (88) position creel - 5 lb. packages
• →Responsible for following reed threading layouts.
• →Load and unload narrow warp beams.
• →Tie in wraps for warp knitting machines.
• →Operate narrow width warp knitting machines.
• →Tie in and doff completed packages. 
• →Operate Sample-Sized Opening/Carding equipment.
• →Operate Sample-Sized Ring Spinning/Winding equipment.
• →Operate Sample-Sized Doubling/Twisting equipment.
• →Operate Specialty Yarn Twisting/Winding equipment.
• →Considerable creeling of 5 lbs. yarn packages.
• →Considerable machine patrolling.
• →Light packing responsibilities.
• →Maintain quality and productivity documentation for machine assignments.

• Previous experience in a textile manufacturing preferred
• High School Diploma Preferred
