JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Estimator (Flooring Industry) Schedule: Monday to Friday | 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM Work Setup: Onsite
Assist senior estimators in reviewing project specifications, drawings, and documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and RFMS Measure.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Minimum of 1–4 years experience in construction estimating, preferably within the flooring or construction industry.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Assist senior estimators in reviewing project specifications, drawings, and documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- →Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and RFMS Measure.
- →Utilize Simpro for project management, estimating workflows, and job tracking as required.
- →Maintain accuracy in measurements, calculations, and documentation according to project requirements and company standards.
- →Collaborate with senior estimators to resolve discrepancies and clarify project details.
- →Organize and maintain records of project estimates, takeoffs, and supporting documentation.
- →Support value engineering initiatives and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- →Assist in the preparation of competitive bid proposals that align with client expectations and project scopes.
- →Stay informed on flooring materials, installation methods, and market pricing trends to improve estimating accuracy.
- →Ensure estimates align with project profitability targets and company standards.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1–4 years experience in construction estimating, preferably within the flooring or construction industry.
- Experience in the flooring industry is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Simpro is required.
- Experience using RFMS Measure is required.
- Familiarity with PlanSwift and Bluebeam or similar construction estimating tools.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
