·       Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

·       1–3 years of experience in mechanical, optical, or precision inspection in a manufacturing environment.

·       Experience using mechanical measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators.

·       Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and material certifications.

·       Basic understanding of GD&T principles.


·       Experience inspecting optical components such as lenses, filters, prisms, and coatings.

·       Familiarity with optical benches, interferometry, or other optical test equipment.

·       Experience working to AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar quality standards.

·       Knowledge of CMM, Keyence, or digital inspection tools.

·       Experience with SAP, Solumina, or other manufacturing/quality systems.

·       Experience resolving inspection-related issues independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Join our team as a Certified Inspector, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and conformance of mechanical and optical components within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise will directly support our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers.

·       Inspect incoming mechanical and optical components using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, CMMs, and interferometers.

·       Perform visual, mechanical, and optical inspections to verify conformance to specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.

·       Review material certifications, supplier documentation, and inspection records for accuracy and completeness.

·       Identify, document, and process nonconformances in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.

·       Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

·       Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure traceability of parts and materials.

·       Prioritize incoming inspection workflow and communicate discrepancies in a timely manner.

·       Adhere to all safety, compliance, cleanroom, and ESD protocols as required.

·       Ability to work onsite and lift up to 35 pounds as required.
