As the Deputy Responsible Manager for Raytheon Australia, you will play a key leadership role in supporting the Air Combat Electronic Attack Sustainment Program (ACEASP) within the Intermediate Level Maintenance (ILM) Facility at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland. Working in close partnership with the Responsible Manager (Senior Maintenance Manager), you will contribute to the effective delivery of technical governance, airworthiness oversight, and regulatory compliance with the Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR).
In this pivotal position, you will help ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of contracted off-aircraft maintenance activities for equipment fitted to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler aircraft.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage and coordinate maintenance activities to support aeronautical component production in compliance with Australian Defence Force (ADF) technical and regulatory airworthiness requirements.
- →Collaborate with ILM workshop staff and Technical Team Leads to identify, investigate, and resolve maintenance-related issues.
- →Working with the ILM Production Controller to ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and within established timeframes.
- →Work closely with the program Responsible Manager and Quality Manager to ensure compliance with Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) and ISO certifications.
- →Undertake the role of Aviation Safety Manager for the program.
- →Manage, mentor, train and conduct performance development evaluations for Technical Team Leads.
- →Undertake recruitment activities for technical staff as required.
Requirements
~1 min read- Diploma in Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics) or Diploma in Maintenance Management.
- Hold or have the ability to gain Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) Form 4 Holder Responsible Manager accreditation.
- Hold Engineers Australia Chartered status or meet the criteria to attain a Chartered credential.
- Experience or qualifications in Aviation Safety Management Systems.
- A high level of expertise utilising computer-based applications and systems.
- User familiarity with the ADF Computer Aided Maintenance Management 2 (CAMM2) system.
- Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-suitability
