What You Will Do

Modify, debug, test, add capability LynxOS and RHEL Linux embedded operating systems
Work with application developers to add capability and resolve issues
Primary liaison with OS and toolchain vendors (e.g., Lynx, PTC), overseeing defect tracking and resolution for vendor deliverables and collaborating closely on design efforts and new customizations
Review software products for soundness of technical judgment and adequacy
Interact with senior software personnel through both written and verbal communication.
Produce documentation related to the design and release of software artifacts.
Develop complete software solutions and influence the successful completion of supported programs and projects.
Understand and utilizes Agile and DevSecOps software development methods, automation, and continuous integration.
Follows organizational processes and procedures.
Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Experience with LynxOS or other Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
Experience in embedded systems development and debugging.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for the development of automation tools and test frameworks.
Experience with programming languages such as C, C++.
