About the Role
~1 min read- Design, develop and execute automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Perform manual testing of applications to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
- Collaborate closely with Business Units and stakeholders to understand application business requirements and translate them into detailed test cases.
- Identify, record, and document bugs thoroughly, and track defects through resolution.
- Participate in requirement review sessions to provide insights from a testing and business perspective.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Define acceptance criteria and work on user story grooming sessions.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and tools.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams regarding testing progress, risks, and issues.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 7+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree in the same disciplines with 5+ years of experience in application testing, including hands-on experience in test automation.
- Proficiency with automation tools such as Tosca, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
- Basic understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for automation.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with performance and security testing.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP).
- Exposure to manufacturing business processes such as requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing principles.
