Machinist/Fabricator C 2nd Shift (onsite)

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months manufacturing /industrial/aerospace experience.

• In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).

We have an immediate need for a Machinist/Fabricator 2nd shift (onsite).

• →Work from operation sheets, drawings, computer generated information, and verbal instructions.
• →Obtain specified equipment, tools and gages to machine, fabricate and finish a variety of production turbine engine parts.
• →Perform bench assembly and finishing operations as assigned using a variety of handheld tools, power tools, and other equipment to process parts during various stages of manufacturing operations.
• →Perform braze fabrication operations such as assembly, sizing, application of braze paste, tape or powder and resistance tack welding.
• →Perform light and water checks on brazed honeycomb assemblies and reoperate parts which have been rejected. 
• →Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions (such as operator’s checklist) for upkeep to ensure equipment operates properly.
• →Refer difficulties to leader or supervisor.
• →May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals' skills.
• →May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned area.
