  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Experience to include planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, Factory Flow, logistics, or other production driven experience.    
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.

 

  • Experience in planning and production control in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations. 
  • Experience with Wave track and in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing.
  • Experience working with MS Office applications.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Materials Planning and production control Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. This role is critical in driving operational excellence by developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), implementing material information flow strategies, standardizing processes, and aligning production control operations with the factory and program goals.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • →Develop tracking and monitoring at the factory level to support factory material goals and ensure compliance. 
  • →Promote process standardization and best practices: collaborate on, document, and implement standardized production control processes across the factory. Identify, promote, and share best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and delivery performance. 
  • →Work closely with factory operations to ensure production control strategies align with broader program goals and constraints.
  • →Support capacity planning and demand forecasting and resource allocation to meet factory requirements.
  • →Support and drive improvement opportunities to optimize production control workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • →Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering.
  • →Participates in projects and or teams to accomplish continuous improvement – CORE.
  • →This is an onsite role in Tucson Arizona.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
