Requirements
~1 min readActively pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM major through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
Earned a minimum of 60 credit hours prior to the start of the internship/co-op session.
Basic experience with MS Office and CAD software.
Relevant experience obtained through on-the-job training, research, coursework, or projects.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person/Permanent Resident (“Green Card” holder).
Proficiency with 3D modeling software (e.g., NX, Catia, AutoCAD, CREO).
Experience with programming languages (e.g., C++, Python).
Prior internship or co-op experience.

Responsibilities

Develop manufacturing plans for cargo system details and assemblies, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, processing, painting, and mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly.

Provide technical support to internal and external customers, troubleshoot production issues, and resolve process problems.

Create Illustrated Standard Work Combination Sheets (ISWCS) for cargo system assemblies.

Participate in Continuous Improvement events to enhance production flow, standard work, cycle time, EHS, 5S, and point-of-use efficiency.

Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by Manufacturing Engineers.

Apply engineering skills to solve real-world manufacturing challenges.

Thrive in a fast-paced environment while working alongside experienced engineers.

Interpret and apply engineering specifications to hardware production.

Understand how product design affects manufacturing capabilities.
