Network Architect

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field and 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with enterprise-level network hardware, such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting practices.
• Active Secret Clearance

• Master's degree in a related technical field.
• Deep expertise in network architecture, design, and implementation.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF, and network security standards.
• CCIE or equivalent advanced networking certification.
• Experience working in highly classified or mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with cloud networking solutions and hybrid network architectures.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, RMF, or CMMC.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

As a Network Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable network infrastructures that support RTX's mission-critical aerospace and defense systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead network modernization initiatives, troubleshoot complex network and security issues, and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.

• →Develop and maintain network architecture supporting enterprise and mission-critical systems.
• →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design network solutions that meet business and security requirements.
• →Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to improve network efficiency and security.
• →Troubleshoot complex network and security issues to ensure system uptime and reliability.
• →Lead network modernization initiatives and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
• →Document network configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with RTX policies and industry standards.
• →Apply advanced networking and cybersecurity practices within highly regulated aerospace and defense environments.

This is a hybrid role, Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
